The psoas is a muscle that is awakened when we first start to sit up as infants and it keeps us upright and propels us forward as adults. When this muscle is tight or even weak, it can lead to chronic low back and SI pain. The psoas operates best with proper strengthening and stretching. This class will explore the anatomy of the psoas along with giving students techniques in yoga poses and exercises to release and strengthen the psoas and restore balance to low back and hips.
