Yoga also provides the stress and anxiety management tools for empowerment and acceptance. Learn how to safely assess, practice and improve your balance with this specialized workshop.
February 25, 2018, 2:00-4:00pm ~ Yoga for Women’s Pelvic Floor Health
Like any other muscles, the PF can weaken from underuse or from the aging process. During menopause, women also experience a decrease in estrogen that can initiate thinning and weakening of the PF. It is also possible that too much tone and tightness due to stress or misalignment can lead to pain or other symptoms. Yoga creates support for pelvic floor health! Focus on alignment in everyday life, poses that stretch and strengthen our tissues holistically, and breathwork that manages stress enhances our pelvic floor health.
Included in each session:
Evidence-based content presentations, definitions, handouts, and discussion
Practice: We will practice yoga for healthy aging.You will understand the proven benefits of the particular workshop focus ( such as yoga for strength, bone-building, balance, pelvic floor health, flexibility, etc.)
We will also practice stress reduction, restorative yoga and breath work, all designed and targeted appropriately for healthy aging.
