Scoliosis is an “S” shaped side bending and rotation of the spine that occurs primarily in the mid back. For some, it is quite noticeable and may involve bracing or surgery to bring the spine into straight alignment. For others, scoliosis can be more subtle and is caused by postural habits. Regardless of the cause or significance of scoliosis creating space and balance in the spine is essential. These classes will allow students the opportunity to utilize gravity as their friend with the help of a yoga wall to find balance and length in their spine.
