Yoga after Your Knee Surgery (Level 1 to 4)

Yoga after Your Knee Surgery has 4 videos total. Each level helps build strength, flexibility, and balance with adapted yoga poses. 

 

LEVEL 1: Standing poses against the wall & seated hip stretches

 

Learn techniques for after your knee surgery which will start with standing poses against the wall and a seated hip series. You will be asked to move from the standing to a chair. 

If this a concern for you, use your walker or cane and higher chair.

 

Equipment needed:
    *Wall
    *Block (substitute with a thick book)   
    *Chair
    *Strap (substitute with a bathrobe strap)    

LEVEL 2: Standing Poses

Learn techniques for standing poses for after your knee surgery.

 

Equipment needed for balance: 

  • a chair

  • a wall

LEVEL 3: Standing Poses at Wall

Learn techniques for after your knee surgery in more advanced standing poses using the chair and wall. 

Equipment needed:

  • a chair

  • a wall

LEVEL 4: Seated, Standing, and Supine Poses. 

Learn techniques for after your knee surgery in seated, standing, and supine position. You will need to move on and off the floor in this video. If lying on the ground concerns you consider lying on a firm bed. You will need a wall and chair to complete this program fully.

  •  firm surface to lie on

  •  chair

  •  wall
