Jaimie Perkunas grew up in a small town in Illinois and arrived to Tucson in 2006. Learn more about her journey.

Jaimie’s passion for physical therapy developed when she was 15 years old. Her dream to become a physical therapist came true in 2005. She has worked in several healthcare settings where she has incorporated yoga principles into her sessions. After completing her yoga teacher training in 2010, she found within herself the permission and capacity to look to the whole body and not just the symptoms.

This discovery gave her the courage to start her own yoga therapy practice in 2011. Her practice was initially called Yoga Therapy for You and eventually grew into a therapeutic yoga studio, from 2014 to 2019, called Yoga is Therapy. In October 2019, Jaimie had the opportunity to tailor her practice and focus exclusively on individual sessions with her clients. She currently works one-on-one with clients to help them connect to body, mind, and breath.
